Spaghetti & Meatballs


For the Meatballs:

1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 medium onion - chopped finely
1 large egg
4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Parmesan
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon dried parsley
2/3 teaspoon dried garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt 
Black pepper
Olive oil for baking

For the Sauce:

1 jar of Summer Lemon Marinara
1 lb spaghetti pasta
1 cup reserved pasta water
1/2 cup Parmesan

  1. Preheat oven to 410 F. 
  2. Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs except the olive oil in a bowl. Use hands or mixer to knead the ingredients together until combined.
  3. Shape the meatballs using a 1/4 cup measure and place on a large lightly oiled baking sheet. 
  4. Bake meatballs for 14-18 minutes until cooked through or golden brown. 
  5. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until desired tenderness is reached.
  6. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the spaghetti. Stir in as much pasta water into the sauce so it comes together to your desired thickness. 
  7. Heat 1 Jar of Sauz Lemon Marinara in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 3-5 minutes then turn off stovetop.
  8. Add spaghetti into the Sauz sauce.
  9. Once meatballs are finished, stir them into the Sauz.
  10. Top with parmesan cheese and serve.
  11. Buon Appetito!
